There are some vehicles which make you very glad to have gone through all the effort of attaining your driving licence. Unfortunately, the truly marvelous cars that are to be experienced are generally all a little bit out of the average person's wage bracket. However, if you ever get the chance, I can recommend no greater thrill than getting behind the wheel of a Porsche 911.
I have to admit that I am a recent convert to the alluring qualities of the Porsche range; I grew up with nothing but posters of Ferrari models adorning my walls. However, I attended a track day event at Oulton Park in the North of England and a friend of mine handed me the keys to his Porsche 911.
Now to clarify why my driving was so erratic from the moment I switched the 3.6 6 Cylinder engine on to the moment I got out, I have to explain that I have never driven a car that can accelerate to 60 MPH in just 3.6 seconds. To be honest it felt like being shot out of a cannon into the sun.
As I mentioned, very few of us 'normal' folk get the opportunity to drive cars that can provide such a thrill as this, but having done some research in to the Used Porsche market I have discovered that the depreciation that these cars suffer is huge. That is bad news for the current owners, but if you are looking for an affordable supercar, you could take advantage of this rather favourable market trend.
