@deathfromabove555 Too big, too heavy,? too thirsty….

All these designers at Toyota….. why can’t they design the car from their heart? ft86 ii concept looked so good. They hired subaru for the engine and they should’ve? hired some hyundai people for design inspiration. I don’t know why toyota doesn’t like to take risks with styling. Common toyota ….design the car with your? heart. ignore the mind for a few seconds. When it comes to love , do people love something from the bottom of their mind or HEART?… thank you.

Toyota seem to have forgotten their way, hopefully this is the first car in a line of back to basics cars, none of? the modern plastic crap!

nakajima21120 February 6, 2012 at 4:03 pm

@deathfromabove555 Don’t you see? This IS the Supra, this is the Celica AND the MR2. This car is everything Toyota has been trying to achieve; a reasonably priced sports car with character and style that makes everyone love? it.

@rob1pr30 the car will? be available as the scion FRS and subaru BRZ in the US starting spring ’12

Toyota/Subaru did a great job on this car, i’d even place it right up there with those timeless classics like the Escort Cosworth, The Original AE86, The Skyline GT-R’s. It’s that great… The other thing i also liked was that Toyota/Subaru didn’t go for the typical retro design, thus making it heavy and big. Nope they held to the original recipe which was perfect in? the first place:

Light, Small, RWD, Affordable PERIOD.

is this a Subaru BRZ with Toyota badges??

yskwong February 6, 2012 at 7:15 pm

I believe? this will be the new Celica.

This Car is going to be a HIT!?

rob1pr30 February 6, 2012 at 8:13 pm

Is this going? to be available in the US and if so by when?

TheAMGLover February 6, 2012 at 8:17 pm

@santclause1 You are sooo right ! Most companies and even most people buying those cars are so looking besides the point .
It’s all about having fun and have the right tool to do so …and power doesn’t equal fun .
Most people nowadays forget what driving a car is? all about , even on normal roads .
It doesn’t matter if you have a m3 an evo , it’s all about how you can use it! Most of these owners aren’t even capable of getting the most fun out of it …i pity them!

mapetitechaine February 6, 2012 at 8:47 pm

Man, if I had £30k, it wouldn’t just be Gran Turismo 5 where I would be all over it…?
